Mission Statement:

CDA is dedicated in protecting the human rights of people. We stand with victims and activists to prevent discrimination, to uphold political freedom, to protect people from inhumane situations and tobring offenders to justice. We investigate and expose human rights violations and hold abusers accountable. We challenge governments and those who hold power to end abusive practices and respect international human rights law. We enlist the public and the international community to support the cause of human rights for all.
We work towards an increased awareness of rights as universal and indivisible, and their realization as an immediate goal. We work to create a justice delivery system that is accessible, accountable, transparent, efficient and affordable, and works for the underprivileged.

Our work is made possible through your generous support. Everyday, CDA units across the country are called upon to act on a range of issues impacting the rights of the poor and marginalized. Using litigation, education, and publication to create awareness and fight against human rights violations, the focus remains on sustaining a network for immediate, effective and collective action.
